Man proposes to girlfriend on big screen

    (IANS)

It was a case of real life spilling over from the reel for British girl for whom a routine movie outing turned out to be the ultimate marriage proposal. When the lights went out, Kerrie Richardson saw not 'Avatar' but a homemade movie starring her boyfriend who asked her to marry him.

Bryan Hughes starred in the remake of the video for Lou Reed's song 'Perfect Day' for the marriage proposal, Daily Express reported.

Bryan slipped out and then reappeared at the front of the cinema to ask the question with a half-carat diamond ring.

    A tearful Kerrie said yes.

'I was shaking and absolutely overwhelmed by Bryan's incredibly romantic gesture. The first scene was the back of a man's head and I thought, 'that looks like Bryan's head'. I nearly fainted when he turned round and it was him, singing the first line from the song, 'Just a perfect day'.

'I sat there crying and laughing,' Kerrie was quoted as saying.
