    Chile enjoys spurt in economy
    Africa Leader
    Friday 10th September, 2010

There has been a strong showing of growth in the Chilean economy, which is anticipating a 5.5% GDP expansion in 2010.

The recent spurt in Chile’s economic growth has created bullish prospects for its long-term prospects.

A recent sharp increase in growth figures has caused finance minister Felipe Larraín to say he is confident that Chile will meet its growth objective of 5.5% year-end economic growth, with a possibility the figure will be exceeded.

The numbers are especially up in retail sales and car sales.
